INUIT SUIT - smock and trousers
Indigo Eden
The INDIGO EDEN project aims to make manifest, with practical examples, the possibility of producing responsibly and as traceably and transparently as possible. This was made possible by Alessio Berto's careful selection of suppliers, the nature of materials and processes used.
The companies that supplied the materials and provided the machinery for the processes required for the collection are distinguished by a path of sustainability in place and in continuous improvement.
Attached to each garment is a label containing seeds of Moringa, a plant native to India with very high nutritional and healing properties. These seeds will ideally be planted with a future world free of hunger and disease in mind.
Composition Outside: 92% PA - 8% HMPE
Padding Composition: 40% CA - 40% R-SILK - 20% LOW-MELT FIBERS
Technical characteristics: • Cut resistant • Abrasion resistant • Chemical resistant • UV Resistant • Heat insulating • PFC free • 30% lighter than nylon and polyester
HMPE
HMPE is a fibre with a high strength-to-weight ratio and low elongation characteristics. It has excellent abrasion properties and a low coefficient of friction.
HEMP
A natural resource that can be cultivated in just 100 days, yielding a versatile, heat-insulating fibre with greater strength than other natural fibres. Hemp requires no pesticides, reduces soil erosion and produces oxygen.
R-SILK
Recycled silk, which retains the characteristics of traditional silk such as comfort and breathability, good thermal insulation properties combined with a soft touch.
LOW-MELT FIBRES
L-Lactide, D-Lactide, Luminy PLA and Luminy PDLA are non-GMO substances made from starch sugars, lactose, etc. They are used in blends with other fibres due to their natural origin.
The yarn used to make this garment is made from 100% GRS-certified recycled polyester - from MIC spa's GRS Line, made entirely from PET bottles and other post-consumer packaging materials.
