WE DON'T MAKE RIBBONS, BUT WITH MIC YOU CAN

#ApplicaMIC

Ribbons, webbing, twill tapes are thin, more or less flexible strips of fabric, or other materials, commonly used for closing, tying, holding or decorating. They are woven in the necessary width, from 5 mm to a few cm, and the edges, corresponding to the selvedges, are finished so as not to fray.

To produce the different types of ribbon, webbing or twill, cotton, wool or other fibres can be used, including synthetics, of which polyester, due to its characteristics of strength and colour fastness and cost, is the most common material.

  • Ribbon: Thin strip woven to a satin finish
  • Webbing: Thin woven strip with plain weave
  • Twill tape: Thin woven strip with twill (or herringbone) weave.

OUR SELECTION FOR RIBBONS AND WEBBING

MIC produces yarns for the production of ribbons, webbing and twills, for satin, plain or twill weaving. MIC yarns are available in stock service in the 450 shades of the general MIC colour chart.

Textured, or filanca, and cotton cut, are the most widely used yarns in the production of these products due to their strength and volume, but special treatments and colour effects are widely requested to obtain specific results, such as water-repellent, antibacterial, reflective, phosphorescent, luminescent, metallic, antistatic and many others.
