Green Dataflow

Lost in Translation

DISCOVER PITTI 2025

MIC strengthens its position as a creative and technological partner in contemporary knitwear with the use of its elastic yarn EXTÉ 2.7 Strong in the “Lost in Translation” capsule, designed by Leonie Van Balen for Shima Seiki Italia and debuted at the 96th edition of Pitti Filati.

The collection comprises five knitwear pieces exploring the theme of glitch as a visual and conceptual interference. Broken lines, distortions, overlays, and unexpected textures translate digital errors into aesthetic and material language. Two pieces in particular highlight the expressive potential of EXTÉ 2.7, which guarantees conformity, flexibility, and three-dimensionality, proving to be a true ally in constructing complex, experimental silhouettes.

Green Dataflow

A visual and tactile flow across the body.
“Green Dataflow” is a 4‑color jacquard catsuit—elastic and body-hugging—constructed to follow the body’s lines with sartorial precision. Mermaid-hem cuffs break the pattern’s regularity, creating a movement dynamic that echoes the glitch concept in form.

Over the catsuit, a semi-transparent outer layer in 3‑color jacquard panels is enriched with intarsia inserts and interlaced yarns. The result is a texture evoking a flow of chaotic data, where digital and organic dimensions merge. Dominantly green, it interacts with accents of wine, lilac, and salmon, recalling a digitized nature.

Invisible yet essential, the EXTÉ 2.7 Strong by MIC yarn—combined with the SRY16 machine by Shima Seiki Italia—ensures fit control and harmony between elasticity and structure.
