SUSTAINABILITY
OUR COMMITMENT TO RESPONSIBLE TEXTILE MANUFACTURING
For MIC spa - Manifattura Italiana Cucirini, sustainability means integrating environmental, social and traceability criteria into business management through monitored processes, recognized certifications and a structured path of continuous improvement.
MIC’s production activities — from raw material sourcing to dyeing, chemical management, winding, warehousing and distribution — are organized with the objective of progressively reducing environmental impact and ensuring worker safety, in compliance with applicable regulations and adopted standards, exclusively to the processes and products for which MIC has obtained specific certifications or implemented internationally recognized protocols.
For the improvement of the company and the textile industry to which MIC SpA belongs, we believe it is necessary to pursue the prevention, information and strategy points listed in our environmental policy.
THROUGH A RESPONSIBLE AND TRACEABLE APPROACH
MIC’s growth strategy is based on product quality, technological innovation and responsible resource management within the textile industry. This approach is implemented through:
- development of certified yarns (e.g. GOTS, GRS, OEKO-TEX® where applicable);
- traceability systems for certified product lines;
- structured chemical management in accordance with the Chemical Management 4sustainability® protocol;
- investments in energy-efficient machinery;
- partial use of electricity generated by the company’s photovoltaic system.
Certifications and protocols apply exclusively to the specific products, processes and production sites formally specified in the documentation.
