Jean School Amsterdam visits MIC Headquarters

An opportunity for exchange and learning for young denim talents

MIC had the pleasure of welcoming students from Jean School Amsterdam to its headquarters, one of the leading international schools specializing in education focused on denim and textile development.

The visit represented a valuable moment of exchange and dialogue, during which the young talents were able to deepen their knowledge of the textile world, exploring firsthand the dynamics that connect theory, innovation, and industrial production.

The visit program

The students took part in a training session during which they explored:

  • Raw materials used in the textile industry
  • Yarn composition and the characteristics of different types of fibers
  • Uses and applications of yarns across various production sectors
  • Certifications: the importance of international standards such as OEKO-TEX®, GRS, and GOTS, which ensure traceability, safety, and transparency throughout the supply chain
  • The link between theory and industrial practice, observing how technical knowledge is transformed into concrete processes

At the end of the presentation, the students had the opportunity to visit MIC’s various production departments, observing the manufacturing processes, innovative techniques, and the expertise of our team up close.

Initiative and ongoing collaboration

MIC would like to thank Jean School Amsterdam for the trust and continuous collaboration, as well as Mariette Hoitink, House of Denim, for making this visit possible through careful and impeccable planning.

A special thanks goes to the students for their attention, eagerness to learn, and proactive spirit. Seeing such motivated young talents committed to developing their skills in the world of denim, yarns, and textiles is a great source of satisfaction and inspiration for us.

Their curiosity, dedication, and enthusiasm reaffirm the importance of continuing to invest in education and in the exchange of knowledge between schools and industry.

Our vision

This visit also represented a concrete opportunity to promote dialogue between education and the textile industry, offering students a real insight into production processes and reinforcing MIC’s mission to be a point of reference for innovation, quality, and professionalism in the textile sector.

We are proud to contribute to the professional development of young people by opening the doors to the industrial world and sharing experiences, expertise, and knowledge with those who aspire to make high-quality denim and textiles their profession.
