H-FARM College and FIT New York visiting MIC SpA

Education, innovation and Made in Italy at the core

An educational experience combining Italian craftsmanship and new technologies in the heart of the Veneto textile district.

MIC SpA had the pleasure of welcoming to its headquarters in Vallese d’Oppeano (VR) a delegation of students from two renowned academic institutions: H-FARM College, a hub for innovation and digital culture based in Treviso, and the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) from New York.

For the FIT students, it was a return visit: they had already toured MIC two years ago, confirming over time their concrete and lasting interest in the Italian textile supply chain. This continuity in international collaboration is a source of pride for us, and a tangible sign of the value and quality of the work carried out every day.

The initiative is part of a broader international exchange and cooperation program between universities and the business world, aimed at bringing younger generations closer to the real processes behind the fashion and textile industry.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore the various stages of sewing and knitting thread production, deepening their understanding of topics such as responsible manufacturing, technological innovation, and the value of Italian craftsmanship – a key element of MIC’s global positioning.

A special focus was dedicated to the potential of artificial intelligence in the textile industry, as well as to the growing importance of a fashion system that combines creativity, sustainability, and innovation.

Through these initiatives, MIC SpA reaffirms its commitment to educating the future professionals of the sector, strengthening its role as a bridge between schools, universities, and industry.
