I Bambini delle fate (The Children of the Fairies)

"When severe disability enters the family, it is like an earthquake. Only it's an earthquake that lasts a lifetime. You don't know what to do and no one helps you', is how dad Franco describes the everyday life experienced with Andrea, an unpredictable earthquake, a challenging earthquake but one made of Love.

When he became aware of the world of disability, of the lack of assistance that families have to experience, he decided that he had to do something: to put his experience as an entrepreneur at the service of social welfare in a concrete and organised way. ... and something special he did: he founded 'I BAMBINI DELLE FATE'.

I BAMBINI DELLE FATE

A social enterprise that since 2005 has been providing financial support to social inclusion projects and paths run by associations and third sector realities, targeting children and families with autism and other disabilities.

To this end, as BDF we are exclusively engaged in regular fundraising activities through the formation of groups of supporters throughout Italy. Through a capillary network of collaborators, we actively involve entrepreneurs and citizens so that they 'adopt by proximity' and accompany an inclusion project over time.

MIC spa supports the foundation I Bambini delle fate and with it the foundation Più di un Sogno (More than a dream), from Verona, which runs several projects for work inclusion and accompaniment for young people and people with down syndrome and intellectual disabilities.  

Among the current projects, we would like to point out T-Lab, which is developed in three areas: a creative workshop, a vegetable garden, and a cooking workshop, all dedicated to young people with greater fragility who cannot find their rightful place in the corporate world, but who deserve an active and valuable role in more tutelary contexts, respecting the talents of each one.
