COLLABORATION BETWEEN ITALIAN EXCELLENCE

Returning to the Fortezza da Basso (FI) after 2 years at the Stazione Leopolda (FI), the 91st edition of Pitti Immagine Filati was able to express its potential to the full, highlighting the leading companies producing yarns, accessories and machines for the world of straight, circular and wholegarment knitwear.

Shima Seiki Italia presented a new capsule collection - Overlapping Illusions - conceived by Art-Director Vittorio Branchizio, who in recent years has accompanied the company in its in-depth study of new and traditional materials and production techniques.

In a relationship that has been going on for years, MIC spa also supplied yarns with a high technical content for this edition, unusual in the world of knitwear, which, worked together with wools and other yarns typical of this world, have enabled the production of garments with luminous effects, colour and contrast uncommon in today's knitwear.

Experimentation and innovation are cornerstones of both companies - SSI and MIC - which collaborate for this very reason, proposing new possibilities of made in Italy.

VB DESIGN IN THE TURTLENECK SUIT

Within Vittorio Branchizio's Overlapping Illusions collection, an outfit composed of 2 pieces - turtleneck jumper and trousers - was proposed, characterised by a design with sinuous and concentric lines, which allow the garment to stand out for its weave and processing technique.

Shima Seiki's machine - SVR 120 IP 18G - is able to produce the garment in 385' 00'' of the sweater added to the 282' 00'' of the matching trousers.

MIC spa has supplied for this garment, ELAN, MIC's textured yarn, available in stock service in the 450 colours of the general folder. This yarn is characterised by its strength, volume, semi-opaque appearance and vibrancy of colour, which allowed the blue tones to stand out in this garment due to the shiny-opaque combination, given by the fibres of different origins used in the garment.
