ELASTIC SHEATH DRESS

SSI, VB AND MIC TOGETHER AGAIN

At the 91st edition of Pitti Immagine Filati - held at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence (FI) in June 2022 - MIC spa once again collaborated with Shima Seiki Italia, Vittorio Branchizio to create innovative knitwear garments.

For this edition, Shima Seiki Italia has developed a new collection designed by Vittorio Branchizio, art director of the company and expert in the knitwear sector, using MIC yarns for a collection of innovative knitwear garments.
 
The Overlapping Illusions collection comprises 12 garments including outerwear, trousers, tailored suits and anoraks made using knitwear with innovative techniques, graphic elaborations and reinterpretations of paper patterns.

 

ELASTIC SHEATH DRESS

The collaboration resulted in an elastic sheath dress designed by the creative genius of Vittorio Branchizio, made with the SVR IP 14G machine by Shima Seiki Italia and using elastic, textured yarns and wools, giving the garment softness, wearability and performance. 

Manifattura Italiana Cucirini offered the ELAN 10 yarn:
a thin, soft and voluminous textured yarn in colour 134 - deep blue - which, when knitted together with wool and other materials, creates a contrast of brightness-opacity only possible from the combination of materials of natural and synthetic origin.
