THE STRENGTH OF COLLABORATION

Vittorio Branchizio, Art Director of Shima Seiki Italia, presented the Emotional Technologies capsule collection at the last edition of Pitti Immagine Filati - Reflections.

This launch of the collection marks the second consecutive collaboration between two leading companies, Shima Seiki Italia, the Italian branch of the Japanese manufacturer of straight-line knitting machines, and Manifattura Italiana Cucirini, producer of sewing, embroidery and knitting yarns for the world of fashion, footwear and furnishings.

The 12 garments created are a combination of technique, aesthetics and raw materials, and present surprising aesthetic effects and tactile sensations.

HIGH DEFINITION

One of the outfits made is a summer T-SHIRT of extreme lightness and silky hand, with the machine N.SVR123IPSC 18G by Shima. The vanisé used in the creation of the garment, is structured in a 50/50 between wool and polyester: the wool is black, thin, opaque, hygroscopic, while the polyester is blue, very fine, bright, highly resistant.

STR di MIC is the yarn used in this process, capable of giving a strong contrast and varying the hand of the garment, which glides on the skin almost like silk. The use of extremely fine counts, denotes a great precision and possibility of the machine uses that allows you to reverse the threads in the levels of overlap, creating patterns and designs with very high definition, recreating even on light fabrics an effect almost printed, without the use of further processing of the garment.
