Manifattura Italiana Cucirini uses the raw material TENCEL™ to produce megaflex yarn. Tencel is an artificial fibre obtained from the pulp of eucalyptus wood from FSC certified forestry cultivations. The great resistance and hygroscopicity, together with the natural biodegradability and dyeability similar to cotton, make this fibre optimal for environmentally and human friendly production.

Tencel™ is a registered trademark of the Austrian company Lenzing AG, which certifies the production of Lyocell and Modal: fibres made from wood pulp derived from controlled forests of eucalyptus and beech respectively. The International Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification has declared TENCEL farming practices as sustainable.
